With daily activities for 5 days (9:00am-4:00pm), the Youth Camp is an immersive experience designed to spark a lifelong passion for fly fishing, rivers, and the intricate ecosystems they support. Westfeather is thrilled to share knowledge and enthusiasm with your children, guiding them through hands-on activities that blend the thrill of fly fishing with the wonders of scientific discovery and environmental stewardship.

Each day is packed with engaging activities that cater to a variety of interests and learning styles:

  • Fly Fishing: Learn the art of fly fishing, from casting techniques to identifying hatches and selecting the right flies.
  • Entomology: Discover the fascinating world of insects, their role in the ecosystem, and their importance as a food source for fish.
  • Ecosystem Sciences: Explore the interconnectedness of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, learning about water quality, riparian habitats, and the life cycles of various organisms.
