Grab a friend and spend a day in the mountains with a professional avalanche forecaster at the Crested Butte Avalanche Center. The day will include ski touring and learning what the job involves, including determining a plan, an acceptable route, looking at the snow and gleaning some insight into the state of the snowpack and avalanche hazard. Powder skiing is no guarantee, but is possible, depending on avalanche conditions.

Day can be catered to the fitness level and ability of the clients.
